Dima Elissa

Dima is an innovator and technology thought leader. Named to Chicago Tribune’s BlueSky Vault Top 100 Entrepreneurs in Chicago and Chicago Woman’s Magazine Top Women in Tech, her current venture, VisMed-3D, a biomedical design and consulting firm, has emerged as the leader in 3D biomedical visualization and printing in personalized medicine. Alongside this innovative start-up, she is pursuing her passion: devoting time, energy and guidance to women founders and entrepreneurs.  As an adjunct faculty member teaching entrepreneurship, an Entrepreneur-in-Residence or in-demand speaker, she exemplifies her commitment to giving back and paying it forward.

Launching over numerous technology start-ups. Directing and driving operations and profitability are among the business accomplishments and adventures of her blossoming career as an entrepreneurial C-Level executive.
Prior to start-ups, she held numerous positions at NutraSweet—including in International Marketing, New Business Ventures and Mergers and Acquisitions.

Her distinct insight and outlook have been sharpened by serving as a board member for domestic and international community-based organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Dima presently chairs the STEM Steering committee for the Apareció Foundation. In addition, she serves on the World Business Chicago mHub Board of Directors, the WBC Advisory Council for Technology Manufacturing, Ms. Tech Executive Council, Vice-Chair of the Chicago Chapter of Women in Bio, Leadership Council for women Tech Founders and as a White House Fellow for the LGBT Tech and Innovation Summit. A well-known advocate of the White House initiative, iGIANT, she drives to refactor sex and gender biases in technology, business and healthcare.

Dima holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Hanover College, and earned her MBA from Texas A&M’s May’s School of Business with a concentration in Finance. She is a member of the board of trustees for Hanover College. @dimaelissa, @vismed3d
